Here's a classification with examples under each type: 1. Standing Asanas These asanas are performed in an upright position and primarily develop strength, stability, and balance. They also help improve posture and alignment. Examples: Tadasana (Mountain Pose) Vrikshasana (Tree Pose) Trikonasana (Triangle Pose) Virabhadrasana I, II, III (Warrior Poses) Utkatasana (Chair Pose) 2. Sitting Asanas Performed while seated, these postures often focus on flexibility, especially of the hips and spine, and are used in meditative practices or for forward bends and twists.
