
Microsoft Word Creating and saving documents Creating a New Document: Open Microsoft Word: If you're using a computer, click on the Word icon in your start menu or applications list. You can also search for "Word" in the search bar. Create a New Document: Once Word is open, you can either: Select New from the File menu and choose Blank Document to start from scratch. Choose a template from the available options, like resumes, newsletters, etc. Start Typing: You can now begin typing in the blank document or template. You can add text, images, tables, and more. Saving Your Document: Saving for the First Time: Click on File in the top-left corner. Select Save As . You can choose to save to your Computer or use OneDrive (cloud storage) for easier access from other devices. Choose a location where you want to save the document (e.g., Desktop, Documents folder).
