The Role of Epidemiology in Disasters Risk assessment and surveillance : Identifies vulnerable populations, predicts potential outbreaks, and tracks injuries and diseases. Disease patterns : Post-disaster settings can lead to outbreaks of communicable diseases (e.g., cholera, respiratory infections).
